Madeline S. Ciampanelli (Capaldi), 89, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Anthony 'Camp' Ciampanelli. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Isidoro and Chiarina (Passarelli) Capaldi.
Madeline was the office manager for the former Capaldi Bros. Corp. all of her life, retiring at age 75. She loved to cook, but most of all, she cherished being with her extended family.
Besides her husband of 63 years, she is survived by her daughters, Janet M. Ciampanelli and Alane V. Frezza; three grandsons, David, Jason and Matthew Frezza, and three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew and Jake Frezza. She is also survived by her cat Champie. She was the sister of the late John, Vincent, Gaetano, Edward, Arthur, Alfred, Albert Capaldi and Viola Fleming.
VISITATION Thursday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Association of Northwestern RI, PO Box 355, Pascoag, RI 02859.
