MADELINE H. DONATELLI (HUNT), of Sturbridge, Mass., formerly of North Providence, R.I., died on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at the Overlook Life Care Community in Charlton, Mass., after a long illness. She celebrated her 90th birthday on Feb. 10th. Madeline’s husband of 55 years, Joseph A. Donatelli, died in 2007.
She leaves her daughter Lynne Conceison and husband John of Sturbridge, grandchildren Joseph and Caroline Conceison of Sturbridge and many nieces, nephews and other family.
Madeline, the daughter of the late Madeline (McDevitt) and Allan Hunt, was born and grew up in Providence. After marrying Joseph Donatelli in 1951, she lived in North Providence until moving to Sturbridge in 2004. Madeline was a longtime employee of the Outlet Company in Providence as a staff photographer. She was a longtime supporter of Providence College athletics and later the Tantasqua Music Association in Sturbridge.
Visiting hours are 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Funeral is at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Maceroni, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.at Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Ave, Johnston, R.I. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association (
