Luis Monasterios, 76, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Joanna (Ortiz) Monasterios. Born in Tarija, Bolivia, he was the son of the late Luis and Maria Paz (Tejerina) Monasterios.
Luis was an accountant with the Bank of America and the RI Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by two daughters, Yhovanna Monasterios of Providence and Cindy Wheetman and her husband, Walter of East Providence; two sisters, Norah Chavez and her husband, Gerardo and family of New York and Raquel and family of Bolivia and two grandchildren, Kevin and Daniel Wheetman.
His funeral and burial will be private.
