Lucy E. Langella ( Vincitorio), 97, of Cranston, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Langella. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Tomasso and Maria (Cincetti) Vincitorio.
Lucy was a Teachers Aid with the Providence School Department. She also worked at various local jewelry manufacturers. She loved being surrounded by her family and enjoyed cooking for everyone. Her unique sense of humor put a smile on everyone she met.
She leaves three daughters, Dolores Cappalli and her husband, Thomas, Carol Sullivan and Lola Loura and her husband, Antonio. She was the loving grandmother of Thomas and Steven Cappalli, Sharon Terreault, Rebecca Mello, Gregory and Brian Sullivan, Michael and Raymond Felici. She was totally devoted to her sixteen great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Elvira Apici.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9 a.m., from The MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. Visitation Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
