Louis V. Petrucci

October 20, 1914 — February 8, 2012

Louis V. Petrucci, 97, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Lola (Vendettuoli) Petrucci.. Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Maryanne (Geremia) Petrucci.

Mr. Petrucci graduated with honors from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Business Administration in 1937. He was an Independent Insurance Agent affiliated with Mutual of Omaha and United of Omaha Insurance Companies for over 50 years. He was an Army Veteran of the World War II.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he leaves a son, Louis R. Petrucci; a daughter, Pamela L. Scanlan and her husband Robert; a sister, Marie DiBiasio; three grandchildren, Peter L. Brandt, Brian E. Brandt, and Holly A. Petrucci, and a great-granddaughter, Abigail E. Brandt. He was the brother of the late Albert Petrucci.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8 AM from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9AM in Franciscan Missionaries of Mary Chapel, Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence. Visitation Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
