LOUIS J. DiCARLO, SR., 80, of Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Cranston and East Greenwich RI, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at home. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Sanchirico) DiCarlo for 56 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Grace (Roberto) DiCarlo.
Mr. DiCarlo was self employed in the Real Estate Industry before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. During his life, he was very active in the Lions Club, The Diabetes and Arthritis Associations and was Past President of the Italian Historical Society and a Past Member of the Metacomet and Aurora Clubs.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Louis DiCarlo, Jr., Dr. Christopher DiCarlo and Anthony DiCarlo; a sister, Camile Costantino and two grandchildren, Christian DiCarlo and Nicholas DiCarlo.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday Morning, July 19, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
