Lena Scalera

LENA SCALERA (CAITO) 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Elmhurst Extended Care. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas F. Scalera. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Angelina (Peroni) Caito.

She is survived by her loving children, Vincent P. Scalera and his wife Michaela of Cranston, Nicholas J. Scalera and his wife Susan of NH and Donna Bordonaro and her husband David of CT. She is also survived by a sister, Anna Lacas and cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Anna, Katie, Nicholas, Amy and Mark. She was the sister of the late John Caito.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Visiting hours Monday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
