Kasper "Joe" Kazarian

September 18, 1927 — November 16, 2014

KASPER J. “JOE” KAZARIAN, 87, of Providence, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rosa (Valletta) Kazarian for 63 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Kasper and Rose (Izzi) Kazarian.

Mr. Kazarian worked for the New England Butt Company before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of the Holy Ghost Church Holy Name Society, Tuscan Club and the Italian Imperial Club.

Besides his wife he is survived by his two children, Robert J. Kazarian and his wife Lori and Karen Sammartino and her husband Nicholas; a sister, Dorothy Mancini; three grandchildren, Robert J. Kazarian Jr., Adrianna N. Ionkoff and her husband Adolfo and Nicholas J. Sammartino; and a great-granddaughter, Elena. He was the brother of the late John Kazarian, Carmino Kazarian and Anita Lee.

Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, November 19, 2014 from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
