June M. Matrumalo

JUNE M. MATRUMALO ( BOZIGIAN), 68, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at home. She was the wife of the late Vincent A. Matrumalo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Hachig and Agnes (Topalian) Bozigian.

June worked as secretary to the Finance Director of the North Providence School Department. She also worked as a clerk in the North Providence Tax Assessors office, as a dispatcher for the North Providence Fire Department and at the State House in Providence in the purchasing department. She was a Past President of the Centredale School PTA and a member of the North Providence Democratic Town Committee. She organized volunteers at St. Charles Soup Kitchen in Providence and was a Communicant of Holy Apostles Church in Cranston. She loved cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves two sons, Anthony F Matrumalo and Vincent A. Matrumalo; three daughters, Lisa A. St. Pierre, Melanie A. Thornley and Isabel J. Paiva; a brother, George Bozigian; four sisters, Lucy Goodman, Sherry Hanoian, Rose Hachigian and Susan Boghossian and thirteen grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 9am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston. VISITATION Friday 4-8pm. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA, 01923.
