Josephine Lombari (Comella), 93, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Guyde A. Lombari, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (DeLuca) Comella.
Josie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid crocheter and loved cooking.
She leaves a son, Guyde A. Lombari, Jr. and his wife Joan; two daughters, Joanna Lombari and Carol A. Mattson and her husband, William Mattson, Sr.; three grandchildren, Michelle Mattson, William Mattson, Jr. and Mark Lombari and three great- grandchildren, Noah, Michaela and Gabriella. She was the sister of the late Leo, Anthony and Augustine Comella, Mary Sasso and Concetta Paesano.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
