JOSEPHINE L.VALVO (LANGELLA), 90, of North Kingstown, formerly of Johnston where she lived for 44 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 14, 2006. She was the beloved wife of Salvatore R. Valvo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Antoinetta (Brigantini) Langella. She had worked as a packer for the former Harwood Mfg. of Providence for over 30 years. As a young girl, she was a member of the Holy Ghost Church Choir. She loved cooking, baking and reading.

Josephine was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Besides her husband of 66 years, she leaves two daughters, Jo-Ann Calvino and her husband John and Linda Alessandrini and her husband Ed; two sisters, Ann Altomari and Yolanda Migliaccio; three grandsons, John Calvino, Christopher Calvino and Dr. Edward Alessandrini and five great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Robert Calvino and the sister of the late Thomas, John, Albert, Oscar and Louis Langella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 9am, in St. Rocco Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Calling hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to In-Sight, 43 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI 02888 or to Saving Sight of RI, 982 West Shore Rd., Warwick, RI 02889.
