Joseph Raymond Ronzio, 88, of North Providence, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helen (DeBerardis) Ronzio. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ralph and Maria Ronzio.
Joseph was a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. He worked as Plant Engineer at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Newport and at various Government Hospitals in New England and Washington, D.C. before retiring.
Besides his wife he leaves three sons, Joseph R. Ronzio, Jr. and his wife Carol, Ralph R. Ronzio and Steven F. Ronzio and his wife Antoinette; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, Saturday morning from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Visiting Nurse Service of Greater RI, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Suite 515, Lincoln, RI 02865.
