Joseph R. Rotondo, 70, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Calitri) Rotondo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose ( D’Angelo) Rotondo.
Joseph worked as a Shipper/Receiver at Texas Instruments until retiring. He enjoyed gardening and wintering in Florida.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Gina Marciano and her husband Kenneth, Deborah Giammarco and her husband Mike and Karen DiStefano and her husband Joe; a brother, Edward Rotondo and his wife Cheryl; a sister, Lois Caplinger and her husband Gary; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Alyssa Giammarco and Isabella Marciano; a niece, April Caplinger; a nephew, Eddy Rotondo and a great nephew, Christopher Caplinger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Visitation respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to American Heart Association, One State St., Suite 200, Providence, RI 02908.
