Joseph Ianieri, 83 of North Providence, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Berkshire Place in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Teresa (Scolardi) Ianieri. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michele and Bettina (Borelli) Ianiere.
Joseph had been employed as a polisher with various local jewelry manufactures.
He was an avid fisherman and loved being with his family. Besides his wife of 61 years, he leaves two daughters, JoAnn Pietrantonio and Carol Nanni and two sisters, Jennie Gates and Rose Santucci. He was the brother of the late Thomas, Frank, Anthony and Perry Ianiero, Mary Montecalvo and Anna DelVecchio.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St., North Providence. VISITATION Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
