Joseph P. Gazerro

JOSEPH P. GAZERRO, 90, of North Providence, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Cherry Hill Manor surrounded by his cherished family. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie (Tartaglione) Gazerro. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ernesto and Brigida (DelSesto) Gazerro.

Mr. Gazerro worked for Narragansett Electric before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his daughter, Donna Argenti and her husband Joseph; two grandchildren Toni-Marie (Argenti) Lynch and her husband Scott and James Argenti and his wife Daria; two great grandchildren, Jayden Argenti and Addison Argenti; and two sisters, Marie Poliquin and Anna Tufano. He was the brother of the late Peter Gazerro, Domenic Gazerro, Elvira “Vera” Corsetti, Jennie Germani, Theresa Ondis and Louisa DelLellis.

Visitation will be held MONDAY MORNING, June 1, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. at MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Inurnment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Gazerro’s memory may be made to Cherry Hill Manor, 2 Cherry Hill Rd., Johnston, RI 02919.
