Joseph DeResta

DeRESTA, JOSEPH, 84, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Elena (Calitri) DeResta. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Carmella (Montecalvo) DeResta. He had lived in Cranston since 1983.
Joseph had worked as a jewelry polisher for Tanury Brothers of Lincoln for 14 years. He leaves three daughters, Carol Duarte and her husband Bill, Jean Moriarty and Doris Marovelli; three grandchildren, Christina Marsland and her husband Chris, John J. Duarte and John Marovelli and his wife Kristin and a great granddaughter Charissa Elena Champagne. He was the father of the late Joseph James DeResta and Robert DeResta.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10am in the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
