John V. Roch, Sr., 47, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Cathy (Rivera) Roch for 26 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of Gilles and Celia (Esposito) Roch.
John had worked as a self-employed landscaper before becoming a cook at Providence College.
Besides his wife he is survived by his son, John V. Roch, Jr. and his girlfriend Melissa Palombo; a brother, Joseph Roch and his wife Diane; and three nieces, Abigail, Lillian and Madeline.
His funeral will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION FRIDAY 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to: NAMI, P.O. Box 62596, Baltimore, MD 21264-2596.
