John David Olsen, Sr.

John David Olsen, Sr., 70, of Wakefield, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lucille (Lonardo) Olsen. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Butler) Olsen.
John was a machinist with Electric Boat and B.I.F. Industries. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Besides his wife of 42 years, he leaves a son, Christopher Robert Olsen and his wife, Frances and a daughter, Lori Ann Olsen. He was the father of the late John David Olsen. Jr. He also leaves two grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Olsen and Jonathan Angelo Olsen and a brother, Robert Olsen.
His funeral will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 8 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to RI Association for Cardiac Children, c/o Robert Lonardo, 365 West Road, Harrisville, RI 02830.
