John F. McPherson

John F. McPherson, 81, of Narragansett, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Briarcliff Manor. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Kennedy) McPherson. Born in Waltham, MA, he was the son of the late John F. McPherson II and Helen (Conrad) McPherson.

Mr. McPherson worked as a foreman for many construction companies throughout Rhode Island Rhode Island before retiring.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer McPherson; five sons, John McPherson, Jr. and his wife Paddy, Stephen McPherson, William “Reggie” McPherson and his wife Christine, Doug McPherson and his wife Jacqueline and Scott McPherson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grand grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. McPherson’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
