John "Jack" Keegan

JOHN P. “JACK” KEEGAN, 92, of Naples, Florida, formerly of North Providence, passed away peacefully with his two daughters by his side, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Avow Hospice Center in Naples. He was the husband of the late Mildred L. “Millie” (Labadie) Keegan. Born in Slatersville, RI, he was the son of the late Patrick A. and Christina E. (Dalsgard) Keegan.

Jack was Director of Sales for various companies before retiring and continued his love of sales at Club Naples RV Resort. An Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps Glider Pilot Regiment. He was past Post Commander of the VFW Le Clair-Kozlick-Logan Bassett Post 6342 in Forestdale, RI. In 1963-64 he also served as State Commander. He was a life member of the VFW.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen L. Shewcov and her husband Carl and Colleen A. Gosetti and her husband Guido; two brothers, William and Thomas Keegan; a sister, Ann Giguere; and five grandsons, Nicholas and Ryan Shewcov and Lance Corporal Anthony Gosetti, USMC, Austin and Alec Gosetti. He was the brother of the late James Keegan.

His funeral will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 8 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Interment with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITATION THURSDAY 4 - 8 p.m.
