JOHN Di DONATO, 79, of Providence, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the beloved husband of Shirley J. (Boscalia) DiDonato. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Colucci) Di Donato.
John was the owner and operator of Eastern Plating. He was a member of the Elks Club and was very active in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was an avid gardener.
Besides his wife of 28 years, he leaves three sons, David, Thomas and Daniel Di Donato; two sisters, Barbara LoBello and Joyce Nelson and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Philip Di Donato.
Visitation Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St Pius V Church, Eaton St, Providence. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of RI, 20 Hemingway Drive, East Providence, RI 02915.
