John E. Crugnale

John E. Crugnale, 90, of North Providence passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the loving and dedicated husband of the late Anna (Germani) Crugnale. They were married for 60 years. John was the companion of Lauretta Rendine who had taken great care of him for the last five years of his life. Born in Providence on April 6th 1924 he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Felicia (Troiano) Crugnale. He is survived by many nephews and nieces and was the brother of the late Luigi, Edward, and Albert Crugnale, Vera Tinaro, and Yolanda Germani John, along with his father and brothers, was past owner of The Crugnale Bakery Co. in Providence, RI since 1917 prior to selling in 1976. He was a member of the Alpine Country Club and the Smithfield Elks Club where he enjoyed his weekly Hi Lo Jack card games with his many friends. John always had a joke to share with anyone who would listen. A man with charisma, he loved life and would always bring a smile to everyone’s face...
