John A. McGuirk, 90, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Adeline (Laterra) McGuirk. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas and Claire (Dempsey) McGuirk.
John had worked at Quonsett Point as a ship fitter and later worked at Electric Boat. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife of 55 years, he leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Nametz; a sister, Mary McGuirk and two grandchildren, Marybeth Nametz and Daniel Nametz. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
His funeral and Burial will be private.
