Joan E. Ricci

JOAN E. (TETRAULT) RICCI, 80, of North Providence, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Cortland Place. She was the beloved wife of Ronald R. Ricci for 61 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred P. and Gladys M. (Bishop) Tetrault.

Mrs. Ricci worked for Ostby & Barton, The Curtman Company, Uncas Manufacturing and Salois Dairy Store before retiring. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and attending their many activities. She was an acolyte and counter at St. Thomas Parish and was an excellent seamstress.

Mrs. Ricci was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Ronald R. Ricci Jr., Christopher A. Ricci, Mark G. Ricci and Philip J. Ricci; a daughter, Eleanor M. Ricci; a brother, Donald Tetrault; two sisters, Gladys Abbruzzesse and Carol LaCourse; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late George E. “Buddy” Tetrault, Alfred “Paul” Tetrault, Joseph Tetrault, Janet Ferrara and Dorothy Combies.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
