JENNIFER R. (SMITH) PALUMBO, 41, of North Providence, passed away at home on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Anthony R. Palumbo. Born in Providence, she was the loving daughter of Richard and Mary (Cote) Smith.

Jennifer was a special education Teacher for the East Providence School Department before retiring.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by her twin brother, Brian Smith and his wife Eileen; her brother, Christopher Smith and his wife Lela; her mother-in-law, Katy (Colafrancesco) Palumbo; many nieces and nephews, Douglas, Caroline, Vivian and Evelyn Smith, Jason and John Fabiano, Marissa and Briana Bigelli, John, Sophia and Salvatore Fabiano, Nicholas, Brody and Avery Fabiano and Kaitlyn, William, Jacquelyn, Ariara and Aurora O’Donnell and three sisters-in-law, Janice Fabiano, Maureen Bigelli and Sally O’Donnell. She was the cherished granddaughter of the late Veronica (Beagan) Smith.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., East Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION FRIDAY 5 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jennifer’s memory may be made to the Lauren Zarembka Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 154544, Riverside, RI 02915.
