Jennie Tortalano (Valletta), 98, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Miriam Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Guido Tortalano. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arduino and Concetta (Mastromattei) Valletta.
Jennie was a jewelry worker for McGraths and American Chain. She leaves two sisters, Rosa Kazarian and Anna Mercurio and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Caesar Valletta, John “Tut” Valletta, Alfred Valletta, Paul Valletta, Mary Romano and Carmella Caramante Cerce.
Her funeral will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 9 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. Visitation Sunday 3-6 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.
