JANICE W. USHER “JAN” (PENDLEBURY), 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Home & Hospice Center surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Usher. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Hargreaves) Pendlebury.
Mrs. Usher was an RN at Memorial Hospital for many years before her retirement. She previously worked as an RN for John Hopkins and was a Clinical Instructor of Nursing at UMass Dartmouth.
She is survived by her loving children, John Usher Jr. and his wife Diane, Stephen M. Usher and his wife Carole, Robert A. Usher and Jeanne V. Broccoli and her husband Edward. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and Caroline Usher, Aneillo and Nicholas Broccoli. She was the sister of the late John H. Pendlebury Jr.
Her funeral will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Sunday, 4-7pm.
