Immaculata Simeone (Gazerro), 76, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio S. Simeone, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni B. and Maria (Laguaglia) Gazerro.
She had worked as a Dieticians Aide at the VA Medical Center in Providence until retiring in 1994.
She leaves a son, Antonio S. Simeone, Jr.; a daughter, Juliana Bolivar; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Simeone and eight grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Luigi Simeone and the sister of the late Eugene, Domenic, Carlo and Armando Gazerro, Clementina Parenti, Antonetta Trombetti and Frances Pati.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home. 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave., Providence. VISITATION, Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Diabetes Foundation of RI, 1117 Douglas Ave., Unit 2, North Providence, RI 02904.
