Ida Ruggiero Souza

Ida Ruggiero-Souza, (Cuicci), 92, a lifelong resident of North Providence, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She was the wife of the late Albert Ruggiero and Manuel Souza and the daughter of the late Peter and Grace (Russo) Cuicci.

Ida was a self-employed hairdresser and owner and operator of Ida’s Beauty Shop.

She leaves a son, James Ruggiero, a daughter, Grace Gioffreda; three grandchildren, Stephanie Quinn, James Gioffreda and Michael Gioffreda and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late James Cuicci, Etta Masso and Gilda Johnson.

Visitation Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
