Ida Lewis (DeFusco), 97, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Hallworth House in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late William D. Lewis. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Bernardino and Assunta (Imondi) DeFusco.

Ida worked as a seamstress for the former Ray Crest Mills of Pawtucket and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her longtime and devoted caregiver, Dorothy A. Vallee. She was the sister of the late Anthony DeFusco, Mary DeMarco, Carmela Adamo, Romilda Devlin and Argentina Vallee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls.
