VERRECCHIA, HILDA M. (LUCAS), 85, of Boynton Beach, Florida and Cranston, passed away Monday, January 9, 2006, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfeo Verrecchia. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Leonie (Guyer) Lucas.
Hilda had been a Hospice Volunteer in Florida. She enjoyed traveling, having visited Asia, Europe and Alaska. She was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy.
She leaves two sons, Paul A. and Peter Verrecchia; a daughter, Barbara J. DeFeo, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Henry Foster and Daisy Roberts.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul Church, Cranston. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
