Henry J. Singleton, Sr.

November 17, 1921 — August 21, 2006

SINGLETON, HENRY, J., SR., 84, of Joslin St., passed away Monday August 21, 2006 at home. He was the husband of the late Eileen M. (DiBattista) Singleton. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Roderick G. and Jane (Murray) Singleton.

Henry was a truck driver for Colore Freight for over twenty years. He was member of the Teamsters Local 251 as well as an Army veteran of WWII. Henry was very active with the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster for the Narragansett Council and Campmaster at Yawgoog Scouting Reservation.

He is survived by a son, Henry J. Singleton, Jr. and his wife Margaret; a daughter, Kathleen M. Pandozzi; two brothers, Robert and Ernest Singleton; four sisters, Pauline Singleton, Pearl Singleton, Jane Pichette and Ida Proulx; a grandson, Kenneth M. Pandozzi, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late James Singleton and the brother of the late Raymond Singleton, Roderick G. Singleton, Jr., and Charles Singleton.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m., from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Providence. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITATION Friday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
