Henry J. Cipriano, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre in Smithfield. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Flori) Cipriano. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Felicia Cipriano. He had lived in Johnston most of his life and had also resided in Boca Raton, Florida and recently in North Providence.
He had owned and operated Henry’s Barber Shop and Cipp Realty, both of Johnston and had worked as a Para-Mutual Clerk. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Henry was a loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather and great grandfather. He leaves two sons, Henry J. Cipriano, Jr. and his wife Karen and William A. Cipriano and his wife Eileen; two brothers, Anthony and Michael Cipriano; two sisters, Amelia Cipriano and Eleanora Lombardo; three grandchildren, Alicia Cipriano, Susan Rambone and Alfred Beneduce and three great grandchildren, Antonio, Timothy and Isabella.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 9am in St. Ann Church, Hawkins St., Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to St Ann Church Memorial Fund, 2 Russo St., Providence, RI 02904 or to Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
