Helen M. “MAY” Russo, 86, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Elmhurst Extended Care. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio “Tony” Russo. Born in Aberdare, Wales, UK, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Ellen (Dowding) Gore.
May had worked as a carder for Tru-Kay Mfg. until retiring in 1984. She leaves a son, Michael A. Russo of Peoria, AZ; a daughter, Geraldine Neto of Cumberland; a sister, Hilda Gore of Aberdale, Wales and three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service, Friday at 10 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association, RI Chapter APDA, PO Box 41659, Providence, RI 02940.
