Gladys "Tweetie" Pantalena (Silva), 76, of Johnston, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Anna (Ciccio) Silva.
She leaves two daughters, Melissa Pantalena and Elaine Labree; three brothers, Robert, Richard and Roy Silva; four sisters, Anna Coia, Grace Smith, Ethel Jacobs and Helen Tavares; a granddaughter, Stacey Gallagher and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony Silva, Marie Bertrand, Dorothy Rodrigues, Jesse Silva, Evelyn Perry, Margaret Durant, Elsie Henry, Rita Silva-Smith and Janice Coscenza.
Visitation at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
