George A. Lazzareschi Sr.

George, A. Lazzareschi, Sr. “PAPA”, 78, of Johnston, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Irene A. (DiChiaro) Lazzareschi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Maria (DiPalo) Lazzareschi.
George had worked for Cott Soda and Churchill & Banks before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Besides his wife of 57 years he leaves two sons, George A. Lazzareschi, Jr. and Michael Lazzareschi; two daughters, Sandra Tridenti and Karen Scavitti; a brother, Louis Lazzareschi; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Catherine Papa.
Visitation Friday morning, June 22, 2012, from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
