George G. Capaldi

GEORGE G. CAPALDI, 54, of Smithfield, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Rosalyn (Aissis) Capaldi and the late Vincent H. Capaldi.
George was co-owner of V.F. Capaldi Construction for 30 years where he worked as operating engineer overseeing the company’s garage and maintenance equipment. He also worked for Parkside Utilities for 12 years and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 57. George had a loving heart that never stopped and will be sadly missed.
Besides his mother he is survived by his cherished daughter, Daria R. Capaldi; a brother, Vincent H. Capaldi, Jr.; and a sister, Dorothy L. Alessandrini.
His funeral will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a service at 10 a.m. at Sacred Exchange Fellowship Church, 75 Division St., East Greenwich. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITATION THURSDAY 4 - 7 p.m. Donations in George’s memory may be made to Teen Challenge Women's Ministries New England, 572 Elmwood Ave., Providence RI 02907.
