Fred H. Schofield

FRED H. SCHOFIELD, 89, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Lange) Schofield for 62 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Fred H. Schofield, Sr. and Minnie (Eastwood) Schofield.

Mr. Schofield worked for 37 years at J&H Electric before enjoying retirement. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and sang for many years with the Happy Notes.

He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy, his son, David A. Schofield; his daughter, Nancy B. Santacreu and three grandchildren, Kelcie Schofield, Taylor Schofield and Michelle Santacreu. He was the brother of the late Lloyd R. Schofield.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a memorial service. Burial will be private.
