Frank Solitro, 82, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Breedon) Solitro.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Matteo and Clara (Mattera) Solitro.
He was the owner and operator of M. Solitro & Son Bakery in Providence.
He was a former member of the Italo American Club for 40 years and was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in North Providence. He served his country in the Army during WWII.
Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Frank M. Solitro; a daughter, Leslie Lefebvre and her husband Steven and three grandchildren, Ariana, Steven and Gabriella Lefebvre. He was the brother of the late Bella Thibeault and Angelina Solitro.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visitation Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.
