Frank P. Del Bonis, 86, of Providence, passed away Friday, June 30, 2006 at home. He was the beloved husband of Lucy (Giorgi) Del Bonis. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Biaggio and Maria (Saccocia) Del Bonis.
He had worked in the produce industry for 27 years and had recently been employed by Life Touch Portraits until retiring in 2004. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving in Okinowa and Guam in the South Pacific.
Frank was a loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Besides his wife of 64 years, he leaves two daughters, Susan M. Rotella and Barbara Ann Germano; a son, Paul Joseph Del Bonis; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Frank Anthony Del Bonis and the brother of the late Joseph, Thomas, John, Ernest, Alfred, and Anthony Del Bonis, Edith Feole and Rose D’Arezzo.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Sunday 5-8pm. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
