Frank A. Procaccini, 70, of North Providence and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2011.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Assunta (Jacavone) Procaccini and stepson of the late Mary (Calitri) Procaccini.

After serving his country in the Air Force, Frank became a successful businessman as Co-Owner of the Riviera Construction Co. and Valley Brass & Copper, Inc., and most recently retired as the Owner of Custom Packaging Service. Active in his community, he was also Past-President of the Italo-American and the Metacomet Country Clubs and was serving on the Metacomet Board of Governors. Frank was an avid golfer, who competed in and won many golf tournaments. His love for the sport and being with his friends took him on many golf excursions around the country and abroad. At home, Frank enjoyed cooking and making wine with family and friends.

For 47 years, he was the beloved husband of Joyce (Terino) Procaccini; the loving father to Sherri Procaccini of North Providence, Frank J. Procaccini of Richmond and the late Robert Procaccini; and fun-loving grandfather to David and Robert Santilli and Faith and Lance Procaccini. He was the brother of Connie Donfrancesco and her husband Anthony of Lincoln, and brother-in-law to Joseph Terino, Jr. of East Greenwich and Robert and Charlene Terino of Providence. He will be greatly missed by many nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held Thursday at 9 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Visiting Hours: Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
