FLORENCE (DESTINO) DeQUATTRO, 86, of Providence, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Elmhurst Extended Care. She was the wife of the late William DeQuattro; the mother of the late William DeQuattro, Jr. and the grandmother of the late Brian DeQuattro. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Christina (Palmieri) Destino.
Florence along with her husband owned and operated Mr. D’s Deli in Providence.
She is survived by two sons, Paul DeQuattro and his wife Kathleen and Steven DeQuattro and his partner, William Harold; a stepsister, Louise Greco and two grandchildren, Britney and Michael DeQuattro. She was the sister of the late Ralph Destino and Margaret DiGiovanni and stepsister of the late Tom Longo, Rocco Longo and Etta Greco.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St Mary Church, 538 Broadway, Providence. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
