FLORA (D’ERCOLE) FALCONE, 85, of Cranston, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph D. Falcone. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Benedetta “Bessie” (Migliaccio) D’Ercole.
A 1946 graduate of Cranston High School and a key member of the 1946 Cranston High Reunion Committee, Flora was a recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution National Society award for civic duty. She went on to become a URI Master Gardener and Homemaker and an accomplished cook and baker. A loving and devoted wife, mother and friend, Flora shared her kind heart, love of life and unmistakable laugh with many.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Martone and her husband Nick, son Robert Falcone and his wife Kim, daughters Cynthia Falcone and her partner Jo-Ann Avedisian, Nancy Falcone, and Elena Falcone-Relvas and her husband Cesar; a brother, Frank A. D’Ercole; a sister, Marie Satern; six grandchildren, Nick Martone, Marielena Rella and Michaela and Marissa Martone, and Joanna and Lacia Falcone, three great grandchildren, Aidan, Colson and Sabrina, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 at 8:30 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m.
