Ferdinand "Fred" Pacifico

Ferdinand “Fred" Pacifico, 83, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Gollucci) Pacifico. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Antonetta (Lomastro) Pacifico.
Fred was a contractor and owner of Pacifico Construction Company. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of St. Anthony Knights of Columbus. His greatest joy was his family.
Besides his wife of 59 years, he leaves his daughter, Donna Marie Iarocci and her husband Nicholas L. Iarocci; two grandchildren, Nicholas Frederick Iarocci and Jennifer Marie Iarocci; three brothers, Angelo, Guido and Anthony Pacifico; three sisters, Mary Pacifico, Connie Tierney and Katherine Sullivan and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Julie Maloney and Eleanor Osgood.
Visitation Wednesday morning 9-10 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI 02886.
