Eugene "Gino" Conti

EUGENE “GINO” CONTI, 84, of Providence passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, at home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pietro and Nicolina (Colasanto) Conti.
Mr. Conti had worked as a laborer for the City of Providence and was one of the original workers at the Providence Civic Center. A Navy Veteran of WW II, he was a member of the Lymansville Memorial VFW Post 1011 and the Mt. Pleasant D.A.V. Chapter 21. He was an avid Yankee fan.
Gino is survived by a brother, Peter Conti; two sisters, Ann Calise and Jennie Balasco, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Anthony Conti and Helen Catone.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 AM in the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
