Etta J. Sciorra (DiSarro), 101, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert C. Sciorra. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Paride and Giustina (De Quattro) DiSarro.
Etta owned and operated two hairdressing salons in the Providence area.. She resided at Capital Ridge for many years and wintered in Pompano, Florida. She also traveled extensively and enjoyed time with her family.
She leaves her brother, Eugene E. DiSarro, Sr. of Lincoln and several loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ralph A. DiSarro, Lucy J. DiSarro, Sue Whigham and Regina M. Pascale.
Visitation Saturday morning from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a. m. at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02914.
