ERNEST MARCHETTI, 82, of Plainfield Pike, passed away Wednesday,
March 22, 2006, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Maria (Conti) Marchetti.
Ernest had been the Maintenance Director for the Town of Johnston School Department for over 20 years .He was also a member of the Johnston Town Committee.
He leaves a brother, Anthony Marchetti and a sister Connie Marchetti. He was the brother of the late Vincent and John Marchetti, Elvira DiNapoli, Janet St. Angelo and Rita Ferri.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. VISITATION Friday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Katie Marchetti Memorial Foundation, 3601 Sugarloaf Lane, Valrico, Florida 33594.
