Elizeu "Joe" N. Silva

ELIZEU N SILVA “JOE”, 88, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Florence (Palombo) Silva for 59 years. Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Joseph and Olivia (Das Neves) Silva.

Mr. Silva had worked as a Supervisory Topographer for the US Defense Mapping Agency before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Robert Silva and his wife Erika; a Daughter, Lisa Zanecchia and her husband Paul; and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Alzira Silva.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION MONDAY 4-7 p.m.
