Eligio Forgetta, 92, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Cardente) Forgetta for 64 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmine and Maria “Grazia” (Datolo) Forgetta.
Mr. Forgetta worked as a foreman for Spencer Plating before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves two sons, Robert Forgetta and his wife Janet and Richard Forgetta and his wife Patricia “Mitzi”; a daughter, Arlene Buonaiuto and her husband Louis; a brother, John Forgetta; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Alessandro “Alexander” Forgetta and Rose Camissa.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence.
