Eleanor Peretti

Eleanor L. Peretti (Preziuso), 88, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony “Sam” Peretti, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Antonetta (Gargano) Preziuso.

Eleanor had worked as an Executive Secretary at American Tourister Company in Warren and had also worked for Grinnell Corporation of Cranston and the Naval Torpedo Station in Newport. She retired in 1988.

She leaves her son, Robert A. Peretti, Esq. and his wife, Dianne; two grandchildren, Dayna E. Ferrara and Kenneth M. Ferrara; nephews Nicholas R. and Ernest A. Montagano and several other nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mario and Ernest Preziuso, Teresa Montagano Matteo Mansi, Angie Polito and Dora Paolucci.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 9 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, North Providence. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence, RI 02911.
